Class 127 power cars M51633 and M51635 under conversion to a parcel car in Newton Heath depot on 5 March 1985. This was the first pair to be tackled, just one week later on the 12th they had been repainted and were presented to the newspaper trade in Manchester Victoria. Chris Thorp.

The closest vehicle is believed to be the former 51637, at this time numbered 55988 (which had been a Class 128 number) but would soon be renumbered as 55968. Michael Boot.
